THE BRAND
The Concrete Immortalz brand is an entirely unique and imaginative mixed media product. It combines artwork and music to create a revolutionary viewing experience. It merges a traditional comic book, limited edition prints, and premium printed pieces with the advanced technology of a digital comic viewed on the internet and scored with original music. For the first time, Concrete Immortalz has brought together talented graphic artists with the most talented producers/artists for an exceptional comic book viewing experience. Besides the quality of the artwork and content, the original soundtrack and musical scoring brings to life this innovative comic book. By providing a soundtrack to match the mood of each scene within the book, it evokes a feeling from the reader which takes the experience of viewing a comic book to higher levels of one imagination. This makes the Concrete Immortalz a truly inventive visceral viewing experience.
Developed and curated by the artist know as "Phetus", the Concrete Immortalz project is inspired from his passion for graffiti art and Hip Hop culture. For over twenty years Phetus has been involved in the New York graffiti art movement and has utilized that experience to bring together actual subway artists and Hip Hop musicans to give this project the integrity and authenticity that is deserved within the culture. These artists range from the original subway artists dating back to the 1970's, to the more current graphic designers of todays trendy underground art scene. These artists have their "Tags" and "Throw-ups" placed within the background throughout the story adding to the already fine detail, making it a true piece of graffiti art culture. The Concrete Immortalz pay homage to the pioneers of the NYC graffiti movement and is also a tribute to the ever changing originality of Hip Hop music within todays' youth culture. Never one to be stagnant, Phetus plans to keep delivering fresh, original, quality content while making the Concrete Immortalz brand stand out from the monotonous display of todays comic book market place.
THE STORY
The story of the Concrete Immortalz takes place within "Imperium City", a futuristic setting with old-world opressive intentions. Our main character the "Wall Lord" is on a mission to expose and destroy the secret socities within the elite power structures of the government. Whether good, bad, comrades or nemesis, the characters our hero encounters throughout the series are truly original within the comic book realm, and at the same time some of the issues within the stories mirror events in today's modern world.
